Jay Bigger

Jay is a dedicated, hard-working, thorough, and friendly agent who prides himself on carefully listening to and caring deeply about his clients. “I fully immerse myself in our working relationship.” He was first licensed in 2001 and worked
part-time for Faulkner Realty Group until 2009. Jay renewed his
realtor’s license in 2015 and has officially re-entered the industry as a full time
agent in 2016. We are thrilled to have him back on the Faulkner Realty Group team!

Jay and his wife, Debby, truly enjoyed buying their first home in 2000, and that experience inspired him to become a realtor. “I admired and respected the way our broker/agent, JP Faulkner, handled the process. I love working with people, and I love to negotiate and to research and solve problems. So, a career in real estate seemed like an ideal fit.”

His areas of expertise include the neighborhoods in and around Northwest Columbus, Clintonville/Beechwold, Worthington, and Westerville. Jay’s personal business philosophy is built on the foundation of open and honest communication, and establishing a solid partnership with his clients. “My first goal is to build rapport and trust with my clients, so that they can have full confidence in me as their realtor—that’s crucial. There are more twists and turns in the home buying/selling process than most folks can imagine, so I usually encourage my clients to not allow themselves to get overly excited, until we are walking out of the closing. All kidding aside, though, I assure them that we are in this together until we cross the finish line.”

Jay has experience working with all types of home buyers and sellers, all across Central Ohio. “First-time home buyers, in particular, are quite rewarding to work with. I enjoy introducing them to the process, and staying beside them all the way through closing—however long that may take. I also love working closely with sellers to create a comprehensive approach to their unique property—highlighting the strengths of the home, identifying the most-likely buyer groups, and tailoring a specific marketing approach for their property.” Jay understands and utilizes technology and techniques, along with networking, to create excitement and anticipation around the seller’s property as it’s introduced to the market.

Born and raised in Clintonville, Jay has spent most of his life in the public arena, managing restaurants for 17 years and also a natural food store in Clintonville for 14 years. Jay has resided in Northwest Columbus for the past 16 years. He and his wife, Debby, have been married for 20 years, and he is the proud stepdad to 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. “My life would not be nearly as rich without them.”
A self-proclaimed “foodie”, Jay has loved to cook since he was 6 years old. “I love selecting, preparing, and sharing delicious food with friends and
family.” He’s studied nutrition as a hobby, and has been involved in the natural
foods community for more than 40 years.

Jay also supports several charitable organizations, including Heifer International, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Faith Mission, and National Kidney Services. He is a member the Columbus Board of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
